Complaints Procedure

If you feel you wish to comment on any aspect of the service we have provided which was not to your satisfaction, please address your comments in writing to:

All letters will be acknowledged within five working days of receiving any correspondence. Any issues raised will be investigated and a reply sent in writing within twenty one days of receiving the initial correspondence. It is hoped that the situation is resolved at that point.

If it is not possible to resolve the situation, then you may apply in writing to NAFD Resolve.

NAFD Resolve

The vast majority of Eric F. Box’s funerals are completed in a highly satisfactory manner but, on very rare occasions, situations can arise where a client may be dissatisfied and may, therefore, seek redress.

NAFD Resolve is an independent funeral complaints service designed to help funeral directors who are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) to resolve such complaints.

It provides a simple process in three, easy to follow stages, through the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, which is an independent non profit organisation and a registered charity with a vision that better conflicts result in better outcomes leading to a better world.

As a condition of membership of the NAFD, funeral director businesses are not only bound by the terms of the Association’s Funeral Director’s Code, but funeral directors are also required to comply with a client’s wishes to proceed to conciliation or adjudication under the scheme and to abide by its rulings.
