Some people choose to scatter cremated remains at a sports club, popular choices including football stadiums, rugby clubs, cricket grounds and bowling greens.
Whilst several premiership football clubs allow the scattering of cremated remains in their stadiums, many do not offer this option due to both demand and lack of space.
However, a number of clubs offer a series of alternative options including memorial gardens, walls or books of remembrance, and even obituary notices in the match day programme.
Some families choose take cremated remains to a favourite holiday location, whilst 1 in 20 people are said to take them out of the UK. However, whilst there are no restrictions on taking cremated remains out of the country, we would recommend that you speak to your airline in advance to determine whether or not there are any internal company restrictions in place.
